What are the Terms and Conditions for the offer of free coverage?

Trov is offering free insurance premium to all UK customers with active accounts.

  • All items in your Trov with active protection turned on before 23:59 16 June 2019 are eligible for this offer. The effective period of this offer varies upon the date that you opt into our offer. The free insurance effective periods are as follows:
    • If you opt in to our offer from 17 June 2019 - 31 June 2019, then your free protection will begin on 1 July 2019 and continue for the duration of your contract which you consent to Trov to turning off on 00:00 1 October 2019.
    • If you opt in to our offer from 15 July 2019 - 31 July 2019, then your free protection will begin on 1 August 2019 and continue for the duration of your contract which you consent to Trov to turning off on 00:00 1 October 2019.
    • If you opt in to our offer from 15 August 2019 - 30 August 2019, then your free protection will begin on 1 September 2019 and continue for the duration of your contract which you consent to Trov to turning off on 00:00 1 October 2019.
  • You will be billed as usual for any new items you protect after 23:59 16 June 2019.
  • We will collect any final premium owed on 1 September 2019, while continuing to offer protection for all of your insured items through 23:59 30 September 2019.
  • Beginning 1 September 2019, you will no longer be able to turn on protection for any new items.
  • You can cancel your free protection at any time by turning protection off in the Trov app. However, if you turn off protection at any time before 23:59 30 September 2019, you will forfeit this offer and not be able to reinstate it.
  • Should you turn protection off for all the protected items in your Trov, you will not be able to turn protection back on for any items, including new items.
  • If you have an open claim on any item, that item is not eligible to receive this offer.
